Budget Hearing Notice

LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing, pursuant to Idaho Code § 31-3915 (1), for consideration of the proposed budgets and fee schedule for the fiscal years 2025 and 2026 will be held by the East Boise County EMS District Commissioners at the Ray Robison Community Hall, 201 Wall Street, Idaho City, at 5:30 pm on August 20, 2025.  Comments, written or otherwise, about the proposed budget are welcome. At said hearing, any interested person may appear and show cause, if any they have, why such proposed budget should or should not be adopted. The Ray Robison Community Center is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone desiring accommodations for disabilities related to the budget documents or to the hearing, please contact the East Boise County EMS District Secretary at 204 Commercial Street, Idaho City or telephone at (208) 392-6644 at least 48 hours prior to the public hearing.  This notice contains a statement of the estimated revenue from property taxes and the total amount from sources other than property taxes, and also contains the proposed expenditures and revenues by fund and/or line item for the Fiscal Year 2025. This proposed budget may be based on preliminary tax revenue estimates received by the District from the County and is subject to adjustment at the public hearing based upon final tax revenue figures which are anticipated to be received from the County prior to the budget hearing.

East Boise County EMS District Fee Hearing. 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO ESTABLISH NEW SERVICE FEES

Pursuant to Idaho Code § 63-1311A

LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of the East Boise County EMS District will hold a public hearing on August 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., at the Ray Robinson Community Hall, located at 201 Wall Street, Idaho City, Idaho, for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the Board’s intent to adopt the following new EMS service fees.

· Fees for public records requests pursuant to Idaho Code § 74-102(10);

· Ambulance transport, non-transport, and mileage fees;

· EMS treatment, medication, and supply fees;

· Mass gathering standby service fees;

· Late payment, collection, and returned check fees.

Authority for Setting EMS Service Fees:

1. Idaho Code § 63-1311: Authorizes taxing districts to impose and collect fees for services provided in lieu of property tax revenue; and

2. Idaho Code § 31-3914(8): Authorizes ambulance service district boards to charge and collect reasonable fees for services, in accordance with §§ 63-1311 and 63-1311A.

All interested persons are invited to attend and provide comments at the public hearing.
